I fixed it going into game folder, running "RunSafeMode.exe" and setting my audio driver to "FreeAudio".
Then you have to play the level entirely again. Loading a checkpoint will make it crash anyways D:
You could also try other drivers if that one doesn't work, but FreeSound is the only one that worked for me.

For me, this is just a temporary solution because the FreeSound driver makes random popping noises that can get a bit annoying. Hopefully they don't for you!
