Felt quite underwhelming throughout most of the game except the early levels. But that's probably due to it being a PC version and playing on Normal
i didn't get to play any of the campaigns in their entirety until mcc dropped on steam.
Still haven't been able to play Halo 5 though. I am hoping it comes to PC at some point.
Yes. It was also going to start off as an RTS before the idea shifted to a third-person shooter and then influenced by Microsoft to be an FPS. Additionally, there was to be a possibility of a PS2 version before Microsoft purchased Bungie. Arguably, HALO would not be the same if Microsoft never bought Bungie.
Another thing to mention is that the franchise had many ideas (lore, game mechanics, technology, etc.) thrown together during the days of Combat Evolved's development, and some of those worked their way into CE's sequels later on in the franchise. It was interesting how other players were finding content over the years hidden from the release versions of various Halo titles and using mods to restore cut content or unfinished features.
