Is it Safe to Play Multiplayer?

I wanted to play again but remember seeing a Mint Blitz video on the hacking scene going on a couple weeks ago, is it still prevalent?

I've come across people hacking in lobbies, but none of the more wild stuff that's been rumored to go around like hacking other people.

I am playing social and firefight and never noticed any cheaters. of course is ranked really that bad ?

To my understanding, if you're not really a content creator or anyone so famous you won't be targeted with some of the more absurd cheats and bans that have been claimed to be happening in those videos. Social games for most people should be okay enough, though Halo 3 Ranked is definitely worse with cheating on top of the already long queue times.

Still would be good for 343 to update the game to address some of the cheating and the other concerns, a game being sold and regularly on sale should not have worries on it being safe to play or not.

i have seen one in custom lobbies taking peoples gamertags and flying around the map but this was months ago

That's pretty delusional. There's a difference between not coming across one and simply not noticing. It's an online game so there are hackers.
