In which order should the mcc be played?

New to the whole halo franchise and dont know which game i should start with or in which order i should be playing them

please help

if you want story reach, ce, halo 2, halo 3:odst, halo 3, halo 4
if you want to do whatever order go for it

Release order. Reach is chronologically first but was intended to be the swan song that tied the series together, it should be played last.

Halo Wars
Halo 3 ODST
Halo Reach

That's the best order, ignore Halo 4 and play Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2 using their original visuals, not the anniversary visuals.

disagree with above, i'd recommend reach first. it's newer so easier to get into (CE is a little bit dated now) and sets up the universe well for u to do the main trilogy after

why is halo wars here? i mean is a good game but that is a RTS and also doesnt come with the MCC

Games are meant to be played in the order they are made. If you intend to play them all, go in the order they were originally released

come on.. now you hate halo ce? talking about old fps .. have you heard the boomer fps they are made now there a lot of them and have old style gameplay much of them they didnt come out yet the most recently is boltgun warhammer and have good praise critic that witouth take acount the huge mont free mod for gzdoom port around there

Rewrite it? ...Maybe go find what survives of Levi 'Leviathan' Hoffmeier's Shield and Sword fan concept instead (The chap authored the very popular Halo: Reach fan-comic A Fistful of Arrows[leviathan.bungie.org] as well as made some artwork for the recent Halo Encyclopedia, so I reckon you could find this as good a read as I did at the time). If you search "Shield and Sword" (It's important to use that exact term for the most accurate results) into Halo.Bungie.Org, you should be able to find the "Parts"/"Missions" for it (You might need to run them through Web Archive to see the wonderful & interesting pictures it had, though):

Yeah no amount of mods, rebalancing, etc, will make HCE<->Reach not feel jank
Nothing short of full remakes at least
