Whats with the Flood in Halo 2 Being so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard to kill

Ive been playing Halo 2 on Legendary and the flood just seem so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard to kill, just ONE flood elite took two frags, a plasma, a slash with an energy sword and was still alive to whack me one time and instakill me. Was it seriously always like this? I beat the game on legendary before with the original one, why the ♥♥♥♥ does it take so long to kill a single flood enemy

Also when youre on metropolis with the tank it takes like 2 shots with the scorpion to destroy a wraith, why the ♥♥♥♥ does it take over 6 when youre playing as the arbiter, wtf is going on here

Dont aim for the head, aim for the chest, that's where their head is, they are pretty simple to kill actually, shoot when the dot is in the middle of the crosshair

You dont use Precision weapons to kill flood, the bullets go through them

i remember them being pretty easy to kill with the br, dual wielding plasma rifles also works very well

Halo 2 has always been a hard campaign. My go to way is either a BR or Carbine. Headshots seem to be the easiest way to take them out.

Halo 2 is a lot of bull as a vet of the series it's by far the hardest in the series, and not for good reasons. Best way to deal with Flood in 2 is to just avoid them or spam explosives. Getting in close is too risky since they like the Elites in 2 can one shot the player with melee (even on Normal though this seems to depend on the angle they hit you).

Use a Carbine or Battle Rifle and aim for the Infection form in their chest to instantly kill them with a 'headshot'. Human Combat Forms have tricker shot placement, but Elite Combat Forms sometimes have Energy Shields.

In Halo 2 you can most definitely use Precision weapons like the Beam Rifle to one shot Flood (I was literally just doing it on High Charity). Halo 2 Flood is very unlike Halo 1 or Halo 3 Flood, where precision weapons do squat to them.

In Halo 2 you can most definitely use Precision weapons like the Beam Rifle to one shot Flood (I was literally just doing it on High Charity). Halo 2 Flood is very unlike Halo 1 or Halo 3 Flood, where precision weapons do squat to them.

I deadass wasted like 3 whole mags of a sniper on just one and it didn't do ♥♥♥♥
I've only had luck with the sentinel beam and even then the ttk is long enough for them to lunge and instakill me

It's very possible to headshot them, I do it a lot with the BR

Now do it on legendary with all skulls.

Still not as bad as the level where your next checkpoint has you dead in an elevator before your feet touch the ground. I've still never found an answer to that point, someone must have done it legit but I've never found em.

watch some speedruns, they help a lot in slaso attempts

you can one shot them with any precision weapon in the chest in halo 2
