Regular 21:9 content renders black bars for 16:9 automatically.
Does a DVD or blu ray you watch come with 4 different versions? No.
I hope you find a solution, please post it here for others that want to watch the beautiful new cutscnes in glorious 21:9
There's an hour of FMVs so I hope this helps :)
Thank you so much! I knew there was a solution. Makes the cutscenes ALOT easier to deal with.

Btw Rose, can I ask a question?
I'm thinking about replaying GTA V singleplayer in ultrawide.
Is there a solution for the black bars in cutscenes? And what about the HUD, is it correctly displayed at the sides?
The HUD is still not spanned. For the cutscenes you can use my script.[community.pcgamingwiki.com]
Let's stay on topic from now on!
Thnx for all your help ;)
No no don't rush me there's plenty to go around...
Give-a-♥♥♥♥ meter:
1. Gameplay
2. Graphics
3. Audio
4. Proper ultrawide support
5. High framerate support
...
105. Being able to pause the game so I can take a poo

I have this issue to with my Samsung Odessy G9... the cutscenes of the updated version both MMC and non-MMc are letterboxed and horribly off center! All that is needed for it to fill top to bottom and be centered just how it was in Halo: CE and how it is for the older graphics. This should NOT be too hard.. you are just centering at the same aspect ratio, will have black bars on the sides an this is complete fine... it just needs to be centered, touching top to bottom, and that's it, all that is needed!!!!
[Response to for "hacking" pre-rendered cutscenes]
As for the request to have the cutscenes some how be hacked to fill the entire screen... This is a ridiculous request as the cutscenes are PRE-RENDERED! Do you know not what pre-rendered means?! It's a video file.... you cannot just magically add more stuff to an already rendered and exported videofile. The only thing you could do is to zoom in on the existing image till it fills the screen from side to side but you will chop SO MUCH if the image from the top and bottom! This is silly. You could also just fill the screen and by happy looking at a warped and stretch image instead but you cannot add or change the rendered content of a VIDEOFILE without rendering an entire new cutscene from scratch! Just thought I would clear that up.
A genuine and reasonable fix for this ultrawide issue is to simply have it fill top to bottom ONLY (with black bars on the sides) and have it centered. And this should not be hard at all!
