Whats the point in the launcher?
So, i noticed yesterday when i DL'd halo CE campaign for the second time, that it removed halo reach and when i wanted to play reach campaign, it did the same to CE, is this a known issue or is it just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up think bungie thought would be a good idea, whats the point in all the games being on one launcher if you have to re-download each part (its doing it with the multiplayer too for me) of the game each time you want to play it?

Anyone able to shed some light on this for me would be appreciated.

Hmmm yes.. bungie.. except they gave the halo license to microsoft when they parted ways over a decade ago
Well, neither of these comments helped me, so why ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ both commenting?

It is 343, not Bungie.

Right click on Halo MCC in the steam library list and select manage or properties. Under the dlc tab you should find check boxes for what you want installed.
Right ok, so by default is it meant to delete content already installed?

Steam shouldn't uninstall anything unless you tell it too. When you choose to install did you do it ingame or through Steam? Either way it definitely sounds like a bug.

when you went to install ce did you make sure the reach box was still checked? you can select which games you want installed. i seem to remember when i went to install ce that the box was unchecked for reach and i had to manually select to keep it installed.
Well, i got MCC on release and DL'd Reach and its MP first, from steam, played it no problem, waited obviously for CE and DL'd it, or so i thought, went to play it the other day, it told me on the launcher that i need to DL the content to play it, so i DL'd there from the launcher, again, played it fine once it DL'd, then went to play reach again and it told me i needed to DL the content again even though i had it, or so i though, so i DL'd it again, but now CE is gone, and that includes their MPs.

However, i checked the DLC tab, certain ones were unticked, which i reticked and will now re-DL'd to see if they all stay on there.

Please stop saying launcher it is very confusing as Steam is a launcher.

Do not manage the games inside the Halo MCC menu, use Steam to manage dlc and you shouldn't have anymore issues.

Steam is a games library and shop to me, the MCC launcher is like Bnet, it has a different name to my steam name, hence me calling it a launcher, but yh i must of unplugged them through the MCC which ill try to stop myself doing now that i get it, thanks for the help.
A lot of people didn't realize that the MCC could act as a launcher of sorts until Halo CE released. Glad to hear the direct option worked out. I never thought about what happens when you uncheck a box.

That isn't my issue. While trying to figure out op's problem it is hard to tell if they meant the game or steam when they say "launcher."
Thats fair, my apologies.
