Will it use my old xbox service records?
Obviously its a new game and will not carry my progress over, but since it requires xbox live account connection will it show any "legacy" stats for Halo 3, Reach, or 4?

Direct clear answer. The only data from the original games that was carried over is the stuff that was on people's Fileshares on Halo 3, 4, and Reach. Service records, progress, and anything else will not be carried over due to how everything is unified for MCC.

The pre-existing data structures are incompatible. Hence the amount of effort it took to prepare the fileshare transfer they did a short time ago.
I'm only talking about the player stats on the service record like: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/775112350254883945/6CCC7AE7D87891EF56F51859C889D42ABDF3C5DD/
Because that version of the game is not in the MCC. you can indeed access them from outside, but the service records within the game are for the progress you've made within the game.

Showing 360 release service records would probably just cause more confusion and complaints as people would complain that achievements aren't activated for stuff they did in the previous releases.

Do you mean for the original versions of each respective game?

I mean the halo waypoint service records, they are still there on the website for each game and I'm wondering if those will be a viewable tab in the MCC.

I haven't played MCC in five years, but I do remember there being a way to check your various records for MCC not the legacy versions. I am sure those will be in there if I am understanding you correctly.

I meant for the classics versions, oh well I suppose at least its some where. On a side note I'm annoy that it shows I didn't complete the Halo 3 campaign even though I definitely did both solo and coop.

If you mean in legacy Halo 3, it doesn't connect to that version in any way. It's a different version of Halo 3 despite being Halo 3. MCC will show only MCC stuff.

I recall reading something a little while ago about using the xbox account and having the ability if you played on xbox to replay missions, not specific save points but from the start of each mission as they were unlocked during your playing on the xbox.

Edit:
It was from that AMA back at the end of march.

Q. Seeing that a Xbox Live account will be required, will progress / multiplayer progression carry over from console to PC (ie: Halo Reach multiplayer ranks and unlocked armors)?

Quote:
A. Within MCC, yes, your progress and progression will carry-over between the console and PC versions. All stats, achievements, Forged maps, and game variants will be shared between all of the games within MCC. Mid mission saves will be unique to each platform and cannot be shared.
Your Halo: Reach unlocks and progression from the original game on Xbox 360 will NOT carry over to MCC.
And as a reminder, MCC on Steam will require a free Microsoft Account, but not Xbox Live Gold.

That's between the Xbox one MCC and the PC MCC.
take a scroll down the October 2019 development update[www.halowaypoint.com] and you'll see the chart for that.

I haven't been in the loop since the middle of the year, i had a lot of other things going on.
But this would be a good time to get back up to speed, i'll look it up now.

Edit: so those tech challenges have been overcome. hmm, good to see a lot of progress made since.
