None of the achievements are popping for me

it's unclear on how to get them in the first place. The curator i follow recommends replaying the second trial over and over till they all trigger - i've done it a few times, never popped. The guide recommends Cyra's Trials, that doesn't appear to work. I finished the whole game - meaning, i got to the credits - and nothing has appeared.

Is there something i'm doing wrong? I'm confused and don't know where to begin with a game like this.

When you look at your Steam profile, does it say 0 of 50? Sometimes the popup doesn't work but you're actually earning the achievements.

Usually in cases of popups not working, all of the popups come up when closing the game. I did try though - my steam profile says 0/50, shift+tab in game says 0/50 (which would be normal if popups are broken,) steam itself says 0/50. I have another friend (Errise) who also said the achievements were not working.

Would it have anything to do with the game opening? Upon entering i'm greeted with a black screen that says Enter. No button works except for Escape, which opens the menu - and i can go to the menu from there. Does doing that mess with the trigger? If so, how do i pass that screen normally?

You hit spacebar to proceed from the 'enter' text.
At the next screen, in a couple of short paragraphs, does it tell you how many achievements have been unlocked? Today it will be about 9700+.
You need both the internet and to be running through Steam for this to work.

The next screen currently lists the achievements at 9772, and after being able to get past it normally the achievements all popped - i have them all. Thanks, and i'm sorry for... not being the smartest ^^

Three months after the day of unlock, September 14 at 4:01pm PST, the game will be reset to its collapsed 7 minute version. Achievements will be available until the community once again earns enough achievements to unlock it.

Yes, any earned will stay so. To look at it one way, those of you who have earned them already have achievements that subsequent folks can't earn themselves for a while. You're special.
