Here you go.
Can you run normal HT without mod and see if it takes a lot shorter than when you use the mod? I tried again today but seems to be okay with only a slight freeze when I click "launch" button. It seems both modded and unmoded game do have it, but it took about minute or two after the screen transitions into loading page.
It seems that its just a longer load time, it seems to take around 5 mins to load the mod while the main game is around 1 or 2.
It's kind of strange since this was made with original developer's source code, and I even had remove redundant modding files while packaging. (which I haven't for my normal game fixes and there seems to be no difference at all, anyway)
I tried again today, and it took about 2-3 minutes both this time. Maybe state of computer is in play? I do have severe loading time when playing campaign and level shifts, sometime even to the point I ready some reading material beside my computer.
I think you are right, I might try to install this mod on a differnt computer in the future to see if it helps the load time, the fact that the current one im using is running windows 8.1 might also play a factor since this game does not really like the newer operating systems.
You can simply create the folder called "Mods" in High Treason main directory (Where ActOfWar_HighTreason.exe is located).
If your mod manager fails to detect the mod, try restarting and see if mod manager is set to proper "Game Directory" (at the top of the mod manager).
Strange as it sounds, try launching original game from steam, without any mods whatsoever first. See if this works fine, and if so try launching mod from mod manager again. On the other hand, I don't think this would be related, but try setting compatibility mod for Hight Treason to Windows XP Service Pack 3.
