Tomahawk sound looping bug fix and more!
I just bought the game (again, actually, since I already own original copies, but I really do like this game that much) and I'm actually quite surprised that this issue was never fixed. So, I just made quick fix.

It's actually a mod, and you need to launch the game via mod manager. (ModManager.exe in YOURHighTreasonFolder\SDK\bin) Detailed instruction is included in the readme.

[What's changed]
- Tomahawk launch sound was replaced with "Harpoon" lauch sound, and it will have minimal difference game-play wise.

- You can now zoom further out, about twice more. Still, it will be laggy if you are trying to view both land/sea battle at the same time, so adjust zoom level carefully.

- New/Edited cheat codes (refer to readme)

Navy Invaders now fixed:

If you have problem with mod manager, with error screens or "invalid CD Key", try launching the normal game through the Steam first, and then try again. It does the trick for me.

Are you going to add naval AI if you can? (Sorry for my english and thanks for the fix).

Not sure. I'm not full fledged modder or coder, so advanced programming things like AI are more than likely out of my league.

I could try to implement Naval Invaders mod released by developers since they provided the source code. I'll try this weekend after my finals are over.

Harbinger, check the thread I posted titled "Mods." I found a solution to your Drone Constructor cheat crash. ;)

I am... impressed. When I asked for such stuff months ago I did not really expected that anything would happen. Got no time right now to test it but cool work!

Harbinger, do you know if its possible to solve this issue within the original data-files (replace bad sound-file with the Harpoon soundfile)?
If not, can you explain how you managed to make the mod? Can we add this solution to an existing mod? I thinking about the General Changes Mod 2.0 (GCM2.0) in particular.

It's actaully quite easy. I don't remember exactly, but all I did was change weapon (tomahawk launcher) file to use harpoon sound instead of tomahawk one. I was hope we could merge mods (or edit existing one), but I'm not skilled enough for that. Once packaged, I'm not sure we can unpack the mod to edit it.

Do you remember the two filenames and their paths inside the datafiles?

The Mod Manager doesn't seem to be able to find the mod file, when I open Mod Manager I cant select the mod file even though I've followed the above instructions. How did you get it to work Harbinger?

Sorry, can't remember those.... It was quite a while back, and I don't have AoW installed now.

I'm not sure. See if you can install others mods wihtout problem. Try launch normal game first (without mod manager) and then try mod manager afterward.

I don't have game installed anymore, and to be honest kinda forgot how I made this in the first place anyway...
