Dwarf Fortress

stem workshop mods not installing
While i know that you need to select mods during world gen, i cant find them in that same menu, when creating a world anymore, as the steam workshop mods are not downloaded into the folder, i tried to verify the game integrity but it doesnt fix it, has anyone run into this problem before and knows whats some way to get around it? thanks in advance :D

So when you click on the 'mods' button next to 'advanced options' when creating a world, there's nothing but the vanilla files? And you subscribed to the workshop items you want to use?
I'm afraid I wouldn't know then ^^'
I haven't run into that issue yet.

If you are sure that you are downloading mods for the correct version, the downloaded files are in the steam install but in steamapps/workshop/content/975370 instead of in steamapps/common/Dwarf Fortress/mods
It's the same for all games with workshop on steam, the mods are first downloaded in steam's workshop folder, then they are copied to where they need to be while the game starts (I just tested it with DF and the copy happened when the game reached the title screen after the initial loading for example).

If the copy doesn't happen for whatever reason, you could probably do that manually, although depending on the mod you might want to check if it was made for the version of the game you are using since there are currently two versions (the default 0.50.15 and the beta 0.51), not sure if there are checks for that when copying the mod but it could be the case.

Its weird, the files do not appear in the mods folder nor installed mods in the directory, which means the game does not download the mods. I tried moving all my current mods into in another folder to see if the game downloads them again, which it didnt. its very strange
I was having the same problem. I just bought the game and downloaded the mods. Even moved them to the mods folder. I was able to get the mods folder show back up by rolling it back to an older Version and then Changing it back to the current one.
