How to break bars in Dwarf Fortress Adventure Mode?

I have a quest from a deity. I killed the second guard, but I can't reach the relic because vertical stone bars are blocking the way. There's no other entrance to the room. If I leave and wait for an hour, 1-2 enemies respawn.

I haven't tried the deity quests yet and most of my hours in adventure mode are on the og DF so don't think i can help too much. But if i remember correctly you can interact with objects like statues and wells with u, maybe if you have a blunt weapon in hand you could break/topple the bars with that prompt. otherwise my only other thought would be there is a lever connected to the bars somewhere that could retract them (not sure if you can even attach bars to levers but i don't see why not).

You can actually just jump over the bars, only option I know of when there isn't a lever.
