Does a Halberd count as an Axe or Polearm?

I'm honestly curious as I'd like to use one in adventure mode but the past few times I've tried I never got a single hit.

On the wiki, it shows it has the skill tag for axes rather than polearms.

well I can't hit anything while wielding it. either it's busted or not Axes

Axes. Game doesn't have polearm (when it comes to coding). All what we would call polearm belong to some category or another. Pike are pikes (weirdly enough, not spear), spear are spear, halberd are axes.

Ironically, you can wield a halberd one handed with a shield on a human/tall creature. Maybe even an adventure mode dwarf from a human civ.

well I can't hit anything while wielding it. either it's busted or not Axes

It's axe according to wiki. But depending on your skill and the opponent's, you may not hit easily. Also, depending on your chance to hit a body part.

I had easy hits and they still wouldn't connect
