Adventure Mode: max carry weight never goes up
Anyone know how to raise carry weight?
I am stuck at 75r. I am wearing Bronze armor, Short sword and shield, I can carry about 4 pieces of meat, and a couple more items, when I try to collect loot I go red on carry weight.

Is there a way to raise carry weight? I do not see any stat or information which might have to do with carry weight.

Do not mention a horse, yes I understand I can tame a horse and use that as a mule but I do not want to depend on that. I just want to know if carry weight ever goes up.

Your carry weight should be linked to you strength. Also the armor user skill decreases weight of worn armor

Yeah sorry I don't think any raise-able stat in adventure mode increases carrying capacity.

Carrying capacity is determined at character creation. It is linked to strength but other things as well.

I always max the stats related to it, because yeah, it's really annoying not being able to wear a full kit of armor or being so limited like that with items

I have a Chosen night-creature (ivory feathered, trunk-faced humanoid) adventurer I just created and his carrying capacity is 390r XD
If it's tied to your strength, then I imagine it *can* raise - it just takes a while. Attributes slowly go up when you raise skills associated with them. In fort mode, you'll notice all your dwarves end up "incredibly strong and nearly infatigable" after a few years maxing their mining and stonecutting.
But for adventurers, grinding your skills up is slow so attributes are even slower.
What Ottfried said. If you want to lower your encumbrance, armor user skill is where to start. Also try to pick lighter armor, copper for example is very heavy, and not that good in the first place. Adamantine is best. very light, and the strongest armor. Also you could take some horses or other pack animals along, if you can keep them out of harms way.
