Dwarf Fortress

Can you Tame a Dragon in Adventure Mode?
Is this possible in any way shape or form currently? Even with DFHack? I was trying to set up a RP scenario as a Dragon Rider but I've found this impossible to do even with DFHack. If anyone has had any luck, please do let me know.

Thanks!

It is Technically possible to have a normal dragon as a companion in Adventure mode. Cave dragons are smaller but also much easier as tame ones can usually be found in dark fortresses that you can just claim as a pet. Regular dragons however can only be acquired normally by domesticating them in fortress mode, which would likely take several hundred years to accomplish. Any creature that is domesticated can be selected as a pet when creating a new adventurer or fortress. I am assuming (though not sure) that there is some way to spawn a tame dragon using DFHack, though i am not an expert in using it so you would need to ask someone else how to.

Outsider human adventurers can theoretically start with any animal type in the game as a pet, though megabeasts are typically outside of their price range. You can use "gui/gm-editor scr" on the character creation screen and change attribute_points_remaining and skill_points_remaining to reach the required amount, but, from my own experiences with dragon pets, they usually start attacking everything near them so also check the level of training with gui/gm-editor.

I don't have dragons as starting pets for a human outsider, maybe I'm not fully understanding what "outsider" means in Adventure Mode but no such pet is available. Spawning a Dragon after the game as started using the sandbox gui command will have the Dragon attack everything including my Adventurer immediately, regardless of he is set as Tamed and regardless of training level. If anyone has had any luck testing this in Adventure Mode and got it to work I would really appreciate some feedback.

I set him as tamed using the "Tamed" setting ticked on in the gui/sandbox and then I go in with the tame command to further set the Dragon into the max level of training. I haven't tried using gm-editor on the Dragon since I have no clue what to alter there and it's very complicated to use for me.
