Gelding on Steam Deck?

On Steam Deck the geld and slaughter buttons appear outside of the creatures menu. Slaughter sometimes works for me but geld never does. Is there a setting to resize the menus so these buttons work properly?

gelding is a farmer job and takes place at farmer workshop , butcher at butcher make sure to have a farmer only focus on that building its not just on steam deck.

I haven't seen a way to resize it, but gelding and slaughter can both work for me, I just have to find the very specific spot to click the button. The far left side of the button seems to work alright. It also doesn't work for the top ~2 animals in the list for me because it instead triggers on the zoom in/out buttons rather than the geld/slaughter no matter where I click.

Wait, the buttons don't work on any version? Why even have them?

There are UI resizing options in the settings. Not on steam deck?

Steam deck runs linux (proton), and the options are there: i had to use them due to scaling.

No matter what scaling I use, the buttons are outside the menu.

Did you ever find a solution? I am going to be overrun by dogs soon. I suppose I could butcher a ton, but gelding would be nice.

Do you have a farmers workshop built? Gelding is done at a farmers workshop and if you don't have one, then it doesn't matter whether or not you've pushed the geld button. (same way slaughtering works - if you assign an animal to be slaughtered, it will only happen if you've built a butcher's shop).
On the standard UI, once you press the geld or slaughter button next to an animal it stays lit up to show you've already assigned that job. Is that happening?
If it is a bug or sizing problem specific to steam deck, I'm not much help as I don't play on the steam deck.
