Dwarves not hauling seeds
I want seeds to be hauled to a stockpile to the side of my farm, so the farmers spend less time walking around. I created a stockpile to receive seeds, but after the dwarves eat the plum helmets, the seeds stay on the ground and no one will haul them, except for the farmers when it's time to plant. The same seems to be working for mined stones, since I created stockpile by the side of the workshops but the dwarves doesn't seem to care a lot for transporting the stones there.

Also, I have Hauling activated for everyone.

Any way I can make this work?

Hmm. I know dwarfs like to put seeds in bags (and then in barrels, although that can cause "seeds not found" spam), but I didn't think they were required. But just on the off chance, maybe try to build a bunch of extra bags?

For stones, they prefer to use wheelbarrows but again I think they'd still carry the stones by hand if that's the only way. For troubleshooting, make sure the stockpiles are accessible? Like you didn't somehow remove some stairs/ramps between them, didn't accidentally lock any doors between or whatever?

Is it maybe just a case of too many tasks, not enough dwarfs?

I have no bags left, maybe that's the case? They don't seem to be putting seeds anywhere outside bags.

About the stones, I found out. I selected 1 wheelbarrow to be used, so just one worker was hauling stones to the stokepiles at a given time. I think I can either set it to 0, so as many dwarves as possible wil carry stuff there, but with their bare hands, or set it to a higher number, but I would need enough wheelbarrows.

Also, I have too many dwarves for not enough tasks lol. Anyway, thanks a lot for the help :)

Forbid barrels in your seed stockpile so the seeds are stored only in bags each bag can hold 100 seeds. The problem with bags in barrels is one farmer takes the barrel + all kinds of seed bags just to pick up one seed, blocking jobs for others.

Screenshot of your seed stockpile settings?
