Issue with refuse/corpse disposal
I don't know if it's a bug or if I have some setting off, but my dwarves do not use the refuse zoning to dump stuff, If I setup a stockpile in the same area as the zone for corpses/refuse, they start dumping, but only on the stockpile which quickly fills up, I've checked all the settings related to dumping like if they can dump stuff from outside or if they don't dump during sieges etc... but nothing seems to work, I've no idea what's going on. Sad thing is, the zones were working at one point, so I have even less of an idea of what's going on.

Also might be related, for some reason dead bodies and dropped items keep getting forbidden, even though I have the setting to only forbid during sieges, had to disable the setting to forbid during sieges so stuff doesn't get forbidden all the time, even though there's no siege going on.

for me fix was to make separate refuse, dump zone and corpse stockpiles. in settings i have to save corpses and they mostly bring those to corpses stockpile (and immediately after death)

Yeah, I can't figure out what to do about it. None of my corpses ever get cleaned up.

Instead of using a refuse stockpile, a probably better option is to create a 1 tile zone below a drawbridge, dump the corpses by clicking the rubbith bin icon in the stocks menu and then regularly crash the drawbridge down and up - it destroys the corpses completely.

For some reason now they also dump in the zone next to the stockpile SOMETIMES... something's off, I'm going to make a magma room to dispose of stuff =P, but I'll give the draw bridge a try as well.

I usually buld a 2-tile room woth a 2-tile drawbridge in it and then the 1-tile dump zone nelow it - and a door to access. Both so miasma is kept inside and also so I can lock the door when I crunch the stuff.

I once crushed by belowed expedition leader with a drawbridge, so now I am very conscious abour drawbridge-safety.

My usual setup has worked fine in the Steam version so far.

Getting rid of items is one thing, my problem is that the dwarves aren't dumping anything in garbage dumps, if I made the drawbridge thing it wouldn't matter because for some reason they're only using stockpiles and not the Garbage Dump Zone =/ not outside or inside. So if I made one of those I'd have to destroy one item at a time...

I exclusively use stockpiles for refuse/non-dwarf corpses, works just fine.

Weird, dump zones work fine for me. Like I dumped 200 pear pits and large numbers of stuff like that and it works fine.

They take the dumped stuff from stockpiles and move it to dump zones for me.

I started doing mainly because you can accumulate 10s of thousands of peach pits and avocado pits and turtle shells and so on.
