Bookkeeper not bookkeeping?

Hi, I've played around 30 hours and absolutely love this game. It's certainly not perfect or fully polished but I don't mind.

What I do mind is my bookkeeper not doing his part. I've tried everything from assigning the role to a different dwarf to switching up labor roles and trying different precision values and even offices. I waited a few months just watching the dwarf but he just does anything but the job. Nobility tab tells me I already have the highest precision [imgur.com] but still my items' values [imgur.com] values are all over the place/not accurate at all and it just wont change. They were working accurately a couple months/saves earlier and I can load up a previous save (but I really don't want to) but I'm afraid that if I'm doing something wrong the problem will persist or reappear.

Is this a bug or is there something I've missed? I tried googling and checking df wiki but got nothing.

What's the appraisal skill of your broker? All your bookkeeper does is count, which he has done. Your broker does the value appraisal. https://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Broker

That was it, thank you! I swapped my broker for a "better one" with no appraisal thinking it only affected the trades, now I know better how the roles function :)
