Trust me, I know how to get dwarves to spar. They simply refuse to do so.
They have a barracks, are set to train, they have equipment and so on.
I have some humans mixed in the squad, and I hope that isn't messing things up, considering they asked to join.
I think I figured it out though, and it's the most nonsensical thing ever. Set their routine to training but don't give them the training command. That makes them demonstrate and spar.
How about you post something of value? This is not mastercraft-tier at all.
Using the little battleaxe UI to set them to train doesn't work.
Do they have weapons to train with?
Come on man I've played this game for close to 10 years.
Not to mention you don't need weapons to train with (wrestlers)
In this case yes they all have wonderfully crafted steel spears.
Right, either they have wooden training weapons or they dont. If they dont, make some and find out if they start training. If you do have wooden training weapons and are not training, then no idea man.
Dwarves will happily train with lethal weapons, they don't need training ones.
weird, cause ive had stockpiles of weapons yet none of my squads trained with them. Is there anything linkd to their proficiency before they train with lethal weapons?
