Just a few very minor changes, but overall not that bad compared to most modern entertainment. I think if there's anything to complain about really it's just the horrible optimization and minimal QoL improvements from the original (actually the game is worse in terms of missing many features the original DF already has) but the biggest thing really is optimization and not even being able to play the game at certain points when you get 200+ dwarves and a metropolis established.

Dwarfs can be gay and bi, that's all. Also animals can be gay too, something I'm all too familiar as an ex-rural dweller. There's nothing like hearing his neighbor discovering he wasted a ton of bucks into a gay stallion

By some definitions, including people with dark skin is woke. So. No hostility behind these words, just trying to inform based on current definitions of the term you used; some dwarves can have dark skin.

not yet, but there's plans for it; seems like the devs just need to figure out how to implement it, considering how the game handles gender currently. this game is trying to be as comprehensive a simulation as reasonably possible, after all, and transgender people do occur in real life.
although, according to the wiki, dwarves (and other sapient races) are at least currently capable of same-gender marriage. the wiki's for an older version, but it doesn't seem like a feature that'd be randomly removed.
