Dwarven Atom Smasher

For the uninformed, the dwarven atom smasher is one of the most adaptable tools in your arsenal to securing the longevity of your fortress, especially in hostile territory. You can use the atom smasher for defense, offense, and to get rid of junk.

At it's core, the atom smasher is simple a constructed bridge that raises up and down. Simply connect it to a lever and (almost) anything caught beneath the door when it's lowered will be destroyed. Bodies, refuse, nobles, etc.

Set up a dumping zone beneath it and designated refuse for dumping to quickly clear away garbage, or drop attackers into a pit before smashing them into pieces. It also destroys water and lava.

Be warned, there are a few creatures that will instantly deconstruct the bridge upon being smashed, so don't totally rely on it for defense.

Just infinitely make stone crafts, now you still have useless junk but it can be sold for 50x the price(if you have a leveled crafter)

Atom smashers smash anything in the game aside from living massive creatures (Elephants, adult dragons, and so on)
