What to do with megabeast bodies?

I thought I could do something cool with forgotten beast and mega beast corpses but it looks like their only purpose is to rot away after death. Am I missing something? I was hoping one of my smiths would get inspired and make a sceptre out of the bones of the dragon slug, or a drum from the skin of a minotaur. unfortunately though the coprse of the serpent is gone and minotaur decayed to bones in a stockpile.

If you can get them to a butcher fast enough, and their body is actually butcherable, and not made of clay or bronze or something, you can get its parts and use them in crafting.

Dang, Okay two of them died right next to a butcher and I qued the butcher animal job. I am guessing minotaur are not butcherable because they are technically intelligent? and I dunno what the deal was with the two forgotten beast but ones corpse is still there decaying next to a butcher shop with a job qued and the others corpse disappeared also next to a butcher and I dont know where it went but its not listed in the butchers completed jobs.

Dang, Okay two of them died right next to a butcher and I qued the butcher animal job. Yes on the Minotaur. Butchering forgotten beasts is tricky, even when they randomly have actual bodies! And their parts aren't more valuable than other basic 1x items, sorry. But it's still awesome to get them into artifacts if you can!

dang, really. I had held out hope that dragon bones and ancient flying slugs scales would be worth more than camel bones but I guess thats life

Minotaurs, giants, those types of beings aren't forgotten beasts; FBs are randomized horrors. As for making use of their bodies, you're going to want a wheelbarrow in whatever stockpile is going to be taking that body, or to put down a butcher's workshop next to them because they're usually extremely heavy.
They aren't worth a lot but you may get a lot of resources out of them due to their body size.

I never said they were forgotten beast, its why the post says mega beast and forgotten beast in it. Thanks for the tip though thats a good idea.
