Upgrading room values to decent

My Mayor lives in a Meager study, he wants a decent one, problem is the dude is living large in a 6x6 fully engraved room, with everything he needs and 6 golden statues! what the hell does he want ? diamond floors ?
one of the statues is even a masterful work statue of himself being elected as expedition leader, imagine the vanity.

I find it really odd that 6 golden statues weren't enough to get it to decent. Even if they were low quality, I would have expected them to be enough. Are you sure the office is covering the whole 6x6 and there aren't any other zones overlapping with the office?

Edit: except from the wiki: "If you put a table next to the office chair and assign it to be a dining room, both rooms will be used like they are supposed to - however, overlapping rooms drop considerably in value rating, making it harder to meet demands by higher-ranking nobles. While this can be countered with high-value furniture (artifacts are very helpful), actual individual areas, designated separately from other areas (whether or not separated by walls) are the easier way to meet demands."

There's a reason dwarf nobles often have a sudden cave-in on top of their bedroom or get locked in while inspecting their future tomb or accidentally get crushed by a drawbridge on flat ground.

ah well the entire 6x6 is overlapped by the Study, Dining hall and the bedroom. I'll try to seperate it into smaller chunks and report back. cheers

edit : so i seperated the room into seperate dining hall, bedroom and study and now he has a royal bedroom and a throne room! cheers m8

A lot of item values have been reduced for the steam version, but a weapon trap with 10 masterwork steel trap components is still worth about 6300, which is the best non-artifact value I've found for one tile. For comparison, in 0.47, that same trap would have been worth about 450k with serrated discs
