The "make rock block" task does it turn bituminous coal into blocks?

hey all im noticing i have bituminous coal blocks like building blocks ( i didn't buy any i think) and wondering if my stone workers just used up the bituminous coal ore when i have the task of "make rock block" on.
I dont have any filter other than less than 100 rock blocks make 10 rock block. just starting so didnt really want to filter, but i guess i should now ?
i read on the wiki bituminous coal blocks cant be turn into coke.
so is there a way i can filter out the bituminous coal or do i have to specifically choose the rock now ? still pretty new to this game so sorry if i didnt explain it well THx

The default "economic stone" standing orders should prevent that...

I think there's economic stone in the citizen animal economics justice jumble in the bottom left, you should be able to turn it off in there there's a tab for it.

hmm is that where u can check and uncheck on the far right of the menu i thought that meant somthing else i guess should i have it checked or unchecked?

ok i think i know what ur talking about like the guys abouve i checked it thinkin it was somthing else so leave it unchecked?

YA thanks guys i thinki fixed it i just turned off all the check in the labor>stone use>Enconomic stone menu i dont remeber the default checks but ill leave it alone for now much thank for the quick replys save me some coke lol
i was thinking that the check were for automating when i mined the rock or somthing pfft silly me

The headings at the top of that screen are the explanation. The “economic” use of bituminous coal is to turn it into coke, and any other use (such as turning it into blocks or building buildings out of it) is deemed a “non–economic” use. If you check the checkbox, you are allowing non–economic uses of those materials.

The use of the word “economic” in this context has always been something people have argued over. I don’t think it’s an obvious choice, but I don’t think there are any better options either.

yea i learned alot now still very fresh at this game and the ui and terms. so much more to learn but i see the ways now lol and thank you for the explaining it more i have a way better grasp on it now
