Will there be a discount on the Steam Winter sale?
Buy now or is it better to wait until there is a Winter sale? Maybe there will be no discount on the game at all :crtstressed:

No there won't be...or, rather, in the unlikely chance there is it'll only be 10% maximum.

Tarn/Zach/Kitfox more or less intent to treat DF sales like Rimworld sales: basically never.

So, the game is hugely overpriced and they plan on never offering a sale. I'm starting to have second thoughts about supporting such greedy schmucks.

They only put it up for sale because one of them got cancer and that's kind of expensive to get treated in the USA. You can still play the free version if you like.

It just got released, very unlikely to go on sale just 3 weeks later.

You do know they are Canadian, so they can get free socialist medical care. If they are going to America for treatment, it is because their system is failing them somehow.

free doesnt mean the best.

“Hugely overpriced” is a bit deceptive. Everyone sets the value of a game relative to their own wants and monetary situations, but objectively, what’s on offer here is about a decade more work than Rimworld has in it and it costs $5 more. The market determines over and under, so I’d say it’s not at all overpriced.

anyone who thinks 30 bucks is overpriced should really not be gaming....have people not noticed games are 70 now and have way less to offer. Am I taking crazy pills?

you cant call people greedy when they gave their work out for free for 20 years and still do. Grow up dude. You are literally attacking the wrong people.

Then don't buy the game, wait a month or two and get the free version, which will have the same content

My bad. I made an assumption based on the fact that Kitfox was Canadian.

Their health system does stink if you get seriously sick though and many do go to the US when they get seriously sick.
