Efficient bedroom/"living" quarters layout

Was trying to improve on the 21x21 windmill design from the wiki and came up with this.

36 bedrooms in a 21x21 area, minimal doors needed. All rooms minimal distance from central stairwell. Looks like a snowflake.

Dwarves only need a bed if you really want efficiency. If you are nice, you add a cabinet to store stuff. Chests is superfluous, they use the cabinet for their trash. I mean, their stuff.

Me, I make 3*3 bedroom when I'm able to (early game it's just a bed).

a 15x15 space can do nearly identically and fit 28 rooms via only bed and cabinet as other have said.

Thee cabinet only lets them store clothes. The chest lets them store whatever other junk they own. While not useful very often it does get the odd use, especially with soldiers.

well at any rate, you can fit one more room on the tips of the + if you curve the rooms into an L to fit an extra in middle for a fork prong. :D
