How to build nest boxes?

How do i place down nest boxes? Ive already built them and they are in my stockpile i just dont see the option in the building menu to put them down somewhere

Well, in terms of functionality, a nestbox is much closer to a workshop than to furniture. Birds can claim it, and use it to produce eggs. And it's kinda related to the kitchen (if you intend to cook the eggs).

How does one make the next box to begin with? I don't see making them as an option in my carpenter workshop?

Crafts maybe? Don't remember as I just queue them through the work order screen.

Btw, you can use rock as well.

Thanks for the response. I am brand spanking new. I havne't even set up a manager (or whatever they are called). I will try to do that and see how it goes via a work order.

Note: I did notice I couldn't find them in my mason workshop either. Maybe it is something that needs to be done through the work order?

If it's not there, it prob is the crafts workshop. Note that you'll need to enter the material sub menus to find them for either wood or rock.

To summarize for anybody who struggled as I did (until these fine folks helped me):

Cut down some trees
Make a Crafts workshop
Click on it and select "wood (opens menu)" --->you can also pick rock, both have the nest box
There you will find that darn nest box.

Egad this game is...particluar in its interface.
