Feedback: Max barrel/bin setting resets when stockpile is adjusted.
To the devs:

I like to use a feeder stockpiles situated closest to my kitchens. These feeder stockpiles don't use any barrels so that the meal being cooked is more likely to use different ingredients instead of meals of entirely the same ingredient.

I've noticed that if I go in and adjust which ingredients a particular feeder stockpile may contain (for example, one of these feeder stockpiles might be set for seeds, so I might adjust which seeds can be used), the max barrel # setting is reset.

I.e. I'd set it to zero so that the feeder stockpile will be more likely to contain a single ingredient, rather than a stack of them. When I adjust the allowed stockpile items, the max number of bins automatically resets to a non-zero number.

Now, I can see how, in general, the average player would like to have the max number of bins/barrels auto reset whenever they make adjustments to either the stockpile allowed items, or the stockpile size - but when the player has set that max # for bins/barrels at a particular point and they don't want it changed whatever happens, then this auto reset feature becomes an annoyance.

Could you please look at implementing a toggle on the stockpile's 'storage and tools' sub-menu, so that players can decide whether (by default) the stockpile auto adjusts the barrels & bins based on how the stockpile is adjusted, or alternatively there is no auto-adjustment, it stays at what the player sets.

It's kind of nice when you want it to happen, and minorly pisses you off when you don't want it to happen, lol!

If the stockpile is adjusted, it should really follow these rules imo:
If stockpile has max bins, update to new max bins.
If the stockpile has some but not max bins, keep custom amount.
If the stockpile has no bins, remain no bins.

I just lost an artifact to a bin with no easy way to remove it, it really shouldn't be so difficult to remove things from bins...

But sometimes the reason it auto caculates no bins to then change to have bins is because the stockpile was adjusted so that where before it held no items that could be stored in bins/barrels, now it does allow items that can be stored in bins/barrels. Or vice versa.

Otherwise I agree (somewhat) it would be logical for the stockpile to only auto-adjust bins/barrels if the max # had not already become as a user-defined non-zero, non-max setting.

But all round still I think the best way would be for that setting to have a toggle:
'allow auto adjust : changed by player only'. It's the only way for the setting to be clear to players.

I'm having this problem despite not making any changes to the stockpile whatsoever. I set max bins to 0, and a little while later it gets auto-changed back to the max number. The game will not let me not use bins for stockpiles.
