"Unusable Downward Slope"
I had a water incident which caused my minecart shaft to become muddy and it seems to have broken many of the slopes. They just say they're "Unusable _____ Upward Slope" and, even if I construct a slope, it still says it's unusable.

Does anybody know why this would be? My minecart shaft is 2 blocks wide and 4-5 blocks long per z-level. All of the ramps have walls adjacent to them, but they're just not usable and therefore I can't rebuild the tracks.

A screenshot of the situation would probably help to give you the right answer.

As you can see here, the slope directly next to it is a normal slope but the other one is unusable for no perceivable reason.

Just to be sure, are the holes and corridors above and below at the exact same place?
A slope/ramp requires a wall behind, a hole in the floor right above and a floor (ramp works as well since there is a floor under it as well of course) in one of the directions the ramp climbs towards.

The weird thing is that your post seems to indicate that it did work previously but doesn't anymore after the water got in so it shouldn't be the above but I'm checking just in case.

Other than sharing a save I don't think we can be of much help, and even with one there is no certainty.
It could be a bug as well, in that case reporting it (possibly with the save as well) would be a good idea as well.
There is a place where you can upload your bugged saves: https://dffd.bay12games.com/category.php?id=20
