Forgotten beasts shouldn't be butcherable as far as I know and they should go on body stockpiles rather than refuse.
It's not a corpse / skeleton, I had already butchered the corpse and these bones were part of the result. The item says bones [109] and has the same graphic as any other bones. And there's also a skull that also won't be hauled off.
Try just outright deleting the stockpile you dont want it on.
Basically "it's not specifically an entry in the bones so for stockpiles" so it goes in the "anything else goes there" category.
Again, just a maybe but it doesn't sound that improbable at least.
Hunters won't return kills on creatures from the caverns to a butcher shop on the surface for similar reasons and vice versa, its the natural fetch range for the job.
