Game Freezing and Not Responding

So, my DF is freezing up after a certain length of time, regardless of what i'm doing. Load my current save? Freezes after a couple of minutes. Start a new fort, after Retiring the previous Fort? Freezes during the "skipping a few weeks" part. Leave the menu open for 10 minutes and try to load a random earlier save? Freezes during the loading screen. Frustrated, because my current Fort was doing really well, after my last Fort died to wereiguana infestation. Does anyone know a fix for this? Or am I stuck uninstalling and reinstalling?
