How to go back to the last patch?
I cannot find a way to roll back to the last patch... my saved game is corrupted now and i had spent 20+hours on it. Any way to roll back to the last patch?

20 hours is not that much for a DF game, don't worry too much about it.

For future playthroughs, you can make a copy of your DF folder, and run the game from that. Or disable steam updates.

I don't think steam allows that for any game :/

Backup the game after Steam installs every update. Just archive the entire DF folder. That's currently the only way, until/if they start using release versions.

oh yes they do. Many many games have older patches available to roll back to through the games right click drop down menu "properties" under betas. There is a drop down menu you can select a different patch. But not all, thats why I asked.

you can make it so Steam only updates a game on launch, just make sure your in offline mode when you launch the game.

just load some older AUTOSAVE.. maybe 1h loose, but not 20. Also make manual backups and saves, beside the automatic ones.

Maybe this method still works. The older builds of the Steam version all have different Manifest IDs. https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/611h5e/guide_how_to_download_older_versions_of_a_game_on/

If you really need to roll back, you could try downloading the version you want from the bay12 games website. It will be the "classic" (ascii) version, so you will lose the fancy graphics and soundtrack that are locked to Steam, but it will let you play your save until whatever you are waiting for happens (fast patch for a major bug, DFHack update, and so on).
