Fire demon

So ive uncovered my first Haunt of Fire... its made of fire and my troops dont attack it.

Im guessing its because hes made of fire and weapons dont do any damage to him... is there any way to kill it?

or is my only hope to somehow trap it?

No, it's because being made of fire is apparently breaking the pathing algorithm, same way dwarves cannot path through magma.

Some people managed to get dwarves into melee range where they would be able to hit it. Maybe try dropping some dogs on him.

The best way is probably to trap him anyway.

It's the smoke that interrupts your dwarves. You'll have to come up with a way to get really close immediately on contact or other creative ways of dealing with it.
