Getting rid of 'weak'

Im using a pump to try to make my dorfs have the the 'strong' trait.

Anyone have any success with this yet? How long would they need to grind on the pump to get pumped?

Weak means the dwarf has 751-1000 strength out of maximum 5000. Because this dwarf was generated weak, his maximum is somewhere around 1502-2000.

The gains from operating a pump should be minimal. It's been a while since I looked into it, but if I remember correctly it will probably give him 60-100 strength per year.

I have no idea. I had a guy who was weak and he grabbed a steel shield, strapped it to his back, and refused to drop it. He moved so slow because of that and after 6+ years of doing this he was not strong or any faster lol
