Melting Metal Objects not producing bars?

ive melted tons of metal objects and i dont see any bars being produced? am i missing something?

What did you melt? Not everything produces a full bar when melted.

I melted a full stockpile of copper weapons. Not a single bar came from it.

How many weapons was that, and how many different smelters did it get spread over? They don't share partial-bar inventory, so if you have more than one smelter, it helps to place all your "melt items" orders at a specific one.

There's no standard stockpile size that will give "full stockpile" any meaning. Is it 2x2 with no bins? Because that's not very many. Is it 5x5with bins full of crossbow bolts?

It was a single smelter and there were over 20 weapons in it.

Any chance you figured out what was wrong? Was it a reclaimed fortress btw? I think it might have been a bug in the og game

Actually. Just found a solution for me. I just rebuilt the smelter and it now works. Must be bugged if it's built pre-embark
