Close door tightly
Just started playing the steam version after not playing for maybe 7 years. How do you keep animals from going through the door? They are gathering in the temples and dieing there causing mayhem

Assign them to a pasture, otherwise they will go to a meeting place such as the temples.

And yes they removed the close tightly feature but hopefully they will add some version of it back since it's kind of needed (ideally locked doors and keys that we can forge and give to dwarves).

pasture + "pit" works good for me so an area you can only reach with a stair even if in pasture they allways leave it and wander on same level.

A locked door or a cage is the only thing holding them perfectly. They will even break free of chains (especially in crowded places).

It's one of the many features that they didn't add a button for in the new UI. So it's still a thing in the game, we just have to wait for them to add the button. Along with all the other things they didn't get added to the new UI yet.

I think it was excluded for the sake of fps, new players would likely use it and not understand the potential consequence
