Can't set F1-F9 location hotkeys?

Anyone else had this issue? I've not touched the hotkey settings, I had this issue with the bay12 version of the game too for some reason, my F1-F12 keys work fine, shift works fine. Rebinding it to other buttons dont work either. F1 original location on your wagon embark still works (aka f keys work)

The actual shortcuts are F1 to F8 and then Shift + F1 to Shift + F8.
Can't say I ever experienced the issue you are describing. Did you make sure to click on the 'zoom to view' button for the hotkeys (z in Classic)?

I think I only have this problem because my device is old, some games I can use the keys for, others I have to plug in an external keyboard to make it work. so, I just use both now, one for typing and external for games...
even tho games use less keys,
and all the keys work on both boards :/

Okay well, maybe I misunderstood how you set location hotkeys at all both in current and classic version? At any rate just pressing H gives you a window that lets you set them without bothering with Shift + function keys, which does not work, or perhaps theyre supposed to do something else that I'm not understanding.

Go to position you want hotkey set to. Open hotkey settings with "H" set specific hotkey with pressing keys with 4 arrows coming inside. Set title for hotkey if you want so and leave H-menu. You are set now.

Just pressing SHIFT-FXX does not set up new position like it works in most games with similar functionality.

Not at my computer to check, but I thought it was a lower case h

its lower case 'h' , or click the icon on the top right, under the option gear next to the mini map.. looks like a arrow pointing into a dotted square box.
