Please! Add the old intro back!!

The old intro of the game made in ASCII is very special to me. I think is very immersive and sets the game in a more obscure and mysterious way. It's a nice touch and I think this got lost in the v0.50 version.

Maybe it's perfect for the old ASCII rather than the new gui look of the game, but I will really appreciate if you could make an animation setting the tone or either use something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tg1xt26eAdE

Even if it's not "possible" with the changes made, I would be just as happy with a pre-recorded video played at start or a bunch of PNGs stretched (correct aspect of course) that gave us the animation if it could still be synced to the music. The intro is iconic and it doesn't have to represent the new sprite style.

EDIT: And I am talking about the original animation. Not some fancy remade version with updated graphics.

I feel like... adding the old intro, would be a great nod. And besides, even though I was one of the players that couldn't get into the old DF but love the new DF... old intro was always great. As for anything not being possible... I'm betting it wouldn't be hard to add some basic video support, then just record the old intro into video format and play the video during the startup load screen?

Well I'll just add this, I'm usually half way through loading my save when I hear that noise

so if they do add the intro back in, i hope its optional...

You could skip it or disable it in the OG version, I'm sure it will be if they ever did
I always listened to the BEYOND QUALITY because I thought that was a hilarious line and recalls both the actual *game* and also absolves Toady of everything even if it isn't perfect because it is literally beyond and outside of the scale on which perfection will judge it. Maybe that's just the plump helmet wine idk.
