Aquifier keeps leaking water ?
My whole fort is turning into a mushroom cavern. lol.

I tried to dig out a small room in the middle of an aquifier (for reasons) and surrounded all the walls with 3-blocks thick of dolomite block walls. As far as I can understanding the in-game help on dealing with light aquifiers, that should do the trick.

But the thing just keeps on leaking. If I click the "mine" button, the room is surrounded by 4-blocks of water-drops on all sides.

Do I just have to wait for a while until it's stopped leaking, or have I misunderstood something? I understood a 3-thick-block wall should stop it.

Smoothing a wall stops leaking, you don't even need to build a wall. Sadly you can't smooth ceilings, which is probably your problem. An aquifer block above drips down onto the level below as well as on its own level. They're kind of miserable things aquifers.

Dig channel to remove aquifer floor

Nice thing tho is it seems you can just mine it out, you don't have to channel and take the floor out too for the water to stop

Wow this information would be useful 4 worlds ago.... I hate how I have to build walls one by one bc if I queue up the entire wall they will start from the end and the inner walls will never get built, or a dwarf will get stuck inside

Yeah they're very stupid when it comes to which wall to build first. They're always drunk so that probably doesn't help things.

You can suspend building wall near the corner, and when corner wall is ready - resume that section.
