Noble symbols of authority not visually showing.

for whatever reason when i give add a symbol of authority for example an iron helm for my expedition leader to wear as a symbol. it doesnt show up visibly on the sprite.

Is there a reason for this or is it bug?

A helmet should show up indeed. But check their items. Do they have the artifact in their possession? Do they have more than one helmet? Might be that they have a better helmet (steel, adamantine) to wear. Which in my case is a good thing since all masterwork armor my dorfs manage to create seems the ones made of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bone.

They have normal sprites. Same as a common item made of the primary material would.
