Right under the big banner that says FORTRESS MODE
Command your dwarves as they search for wealth in their generated mountain. Your dwarves will need a steady supply of food and beer, but they’ll also need your guidance in surviving attacks from hostile civilizations, the wilderness, or even the dead.
Craft treasures and furnitures from various materials
Establish a barony and support the increasingly demanding nobility
Read your dwarves’ thoughts to keep them happy
Build floodgates to divert water for farming, and/or prevent magma mishaps
Build structures and watch your dwarves discover and build their culture, like taverns, libraries, temples, honey, wax, pottery, animal training, bookbinding, and more.
That's only proof that Fortress Mode is in the game, not that Adventure Mode is missing.
Still, complaining about "missing features" that aren't advertised on the store page or listed as an available in the current build, even if they're included in the (still available) free version, is baseless whining and/or trolling for those sweet Jester awards. It's like complaining a vegan burger doesn't include beef when everybody knows that hamburger equals dead cows.
But yes I agree with you.
But I also think it should say 'coming soon' on the store page, as it does in game.
Not everyone is totally familiar with dorf 4tress.
This is a passion project and as track-records go them devs be not abandoning this lifetime project of a game anytime soon.
It's a pretty stupid judge that would think that something was automatically included if it's not mentioned on the page. Especially when the modes that ARE included ARE mentioned on the page.
But by all means, continue to go off. It's funny. Especially when there's only 2 clicks between the store page and "Hi FOrums full of people who have purchased the game and can tell me something about it, quick question...Adventure mode is not mentioned. Is it in the game?"
Sounds like you have played Ace Attorney after all lol
Adventure mode says coming soon in the game.
It should say coming soon on the store page.
Not everyone knows what Dwarf Fortress is.
Yeah. But this is exactly my point.
I mean I get the mentality of "it's not in the game so don't put it on the store page" I said that like 2 pages ago lol (edit, it turns out i said this in another of the 600 adeventure mode threads lol), but it wouldn't be unusual for an "Adventure Mode - Coming soon!" box and short description right under the description of fort mode.
But aren't you sick of threads like that? It's a near daily occurence and features people going off the chain like riet nao lol.
There'd be significantly less of those threads if there were easier to access information on the subject.
I don't agree with OP's delivery, or even his overall problem with a lack of adventure mode, in the slightest, but it's weirder to not mention the mode at all than to put a 'coming soon' on the store page.
It doesn't take much research or effort to find out that Adventure Mode is not currently available in the Premium build.
But it should take none. Then there's nobody to blame but the consumer.
Also the same adventure mode you would want to see here, eh? Cause it is the same, but not ported over yet.
So just current modern society but less suburban sprawl in every direction? I'm down for it.
