Candy Spire

My dwarfs refuse to mine raw candy or any of the gems surrounding it. It was working fine for a while but now all of a sudden my dwarfs will not go and mine the area. very confused.

Anyone had this issue or know how to fix it?

You have wronged Bonzy the Sad Clown. Sacrifice all of your dorf children to the magma sea to allow mining to resume.

Look at the giant red cancel icon on the left side of your screen, there is prob. a clown going around molesting your dwarves

Has the order been cancelled due to warm stone?

Maybe you ahve temperature deactivated and it's "cooling" ? I had the issue for my obsidian making chamber, I deactivated temperature for FPS gain, but the obsidian would never "cool off", so they refused to mine it (it was not cancelled either).

Either that or the dwarves are smarter than usual and know it's a bad idea :D

was temperature control being switched off.. I switched it off to save some FPS and had no issues for a while but for whatever reason it eventually led to my dwarfs not mining anything in the candy spires except gems and obsidian. surely thats a bug? I dont know but I have switched temperature check back on and all is good. thanks for the comments guys. happy mining.

Not a bug. If something is super hot, like "magma hot", dwarves won't dig it. It need to cool down, but since you have temperature off, it will never cool down.
You can put temperature on, let the stuff cool down, then turn it back off and it's OK.
