if they can write, they can probably read to :/
but whats the harm of leaving it in the most crowded place :D
sure it'll be fine...
lots of "FUN" XD
1) Slabs like this fun fella' won't be "read" by your own dwarves, but only by interested 'visiting' dwarves. Controlled dwarves only will read scrolls, codices and quires/books (from what I understand?)
2) In fortress mode #1 is true, but in Adventure mode you can create an adventurer to travel to your fortress, read the slab, and write manuals (books) dwarves can then all read... for even more fun......... not that I've done such a thing before..... ;-)
There's definitely some !fun! going on with that.
A more veteran player may know better than myself.
But without adventure mode it would never get read then?
Urist McNecromancer: This is my fight too. I can't step aside!
Urist McNecromancer makes a gesture. Dead human rises
Dwarves kill the undead 'cause it's hostile.
Urist McNecromancer: This is my fight too. I can't step aside!
Urist McNecromancer makes a gesture. Dead human rises
The cycle of stupidity and bloodshed continues to this very day.
