What the heck Gorlak???

I have cage traps at the entrance to my fortress. A gorlak spawned in the cavern layer and made his way up to my entrance and got caught in my traps. I've released him twice and he makes a beeline for my traps and recages himself immediately after being released every time.

I was going to ask what to do about this, but my caravan just showed up, so I'm selling the little bastard.

Gorlaks are cool dudes from the caverns who like books and friendship, they're pretty chill. He probably just wants to hang out in your cage trap and live in your tavern to entertain your dwarves.

Update, I can't sell him. Trying to move his cage to the depot releases him and he runs into another cage trap!

Gorlaks are sentient, I think, so that's probably why you can't sell him.

Update 2: By taking advantage of the fact that sending his cage to the depot acted as a quick release I finally got him free and standing on a sprung trap instead of walking into another trap. Whereupon he proceeded to leave my fortress and march off the map edge. Thus ends the tale of the masochist gorlak.
