Nice report!
I'm definitely going to try this out!
Thanks, polle!
Sorry if it's a bit hard to understand me, english isn't my mother language. I'll try to explain myself:
I have 6 workshops making clothes that are linked to the Feeder stockpile (That stockpile is meant to ONLY get new crafted clothes). Then, from that feeder, there are 5 QSPs assigned for each new type of clothing (Headwear, Legwear...).
And as someone mentioned before, if you make a new stockpile that takes clothing from everywhere (Old clothing Stockpile), and my feeder stockpile takes only from workshops, old clothing should go to the first one, separating them from the second one (Feeder Stockpile).
Now, the problem is that my dwarves will pick clothing from the feeder as soon as they sees them, and instead of putting those clothes in the QSP, they pick them up and carry them to the Old Clothes Stockpile.
I found a workaround by just making another QSPs for old clothes near the Trade Depot that takes from everywhere, but it was driving me insane.
Anyway, thanks for your time AIP, if you can point out what was wrong by trying to replicate it or something like that, I would be glad to read it!

Then, if you designate an actual 1-tile stockpile with the right settings under it, the dumped clothing counts as being in a stockpile, so dwarves will not haul items from it to other stockpiles.
It doesn't sound like what you are doing there.
I actually know, but i made a QSP with the help of a minecart as I have watched some videos about it, in fact, almost all my stockpiles are QSPs and are working perfectly fine so it's automated.
You can see my storage system so maybe you can get a clearer idea of what's going on in this link: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/5102047032332625715/CFDBD55D60F2E368F0401898453E57B054080557/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false
The easiest way to deal with worn out clothes, is to periodically dump and atom-smash all of it, worn out or not. Then simply make some new ones.
I hope you have a nice day and wish you the best!
I blame the bins. The only way I've found to get reasonable control is to not use bins for some things anywhere. Or often, not allow bins in the fort at all! I dump and destroy them when I buy leather or cloth from trader in them. Bins (and barrels exhibit same behavior with seed bags) do seem to up the priority for dwarves to the exclusion of all else. If there's a stockpile with bins enabled that can take the item in question, it goes there. And with the (presumed) bug that resets stockpile allowances of bins/barrels, it's hard to not accidentally re-enable them somewhere. Then it's back to micro-ing emptying bins and dumping them to be atom-smashed out of existence. The stockpile resetting is a new bug to this version; the bin/barrels issue is a long-time bug.
