Can crundles spawn inside mines?
I noticed that crundles seem to magically spawn inside my mines, I make sure to seal off caverns every time but after some time I always see some crundles fighting my dogs, do they spawn inside my mines after some time?

So larger animals do not spawn, they wander in from the side of the map. This is true for crundles as well.

The thing is my mineshafts are all cut off from caverns, unless you count the well thats multiple z levels above the water.

Crundles can climb.

As people have said. Nothing can 'spawn' anywhere, except vermin. If you got a crundle in there, then you got gaps. The real gap test is when an FB spawns and gets hungry for some crundles lol.

Crundles are insanely good at climbing by default, so they're probably climbing up your well. Set up a U-pipe water resevoir and grate it off to keep anything from climbing up it.
