Problem with Barrels not being filled up

So bassicly everything is working fine i think because my dwarves are actually brewing the wine and working, but theyre just using one plump at a time every time, making it so all my barrels are filled with ONLY 5 units of wine and theyre not combining them either, so my food stockpile is just filled with almost empty barrels and making it so i have a very low wine production speed

I've tried remaking the order directly through the still, through a work order, with a dedicated skilled brewer, and nothing changes so i dont know what im doing wrong

LOL. That's crazy. Do you have a ton of plants available? What about other ingredients besides one?

Maybe just stop for now until you do.

Otherwise, try re-doing everything, crafting new barrels, try making drink from fruit instead and see if it does the same.

That is a bug most likely as I have no knowledge of how a player in the current version could actually impact the quantity produced into a barrel.

I have been running into a similar problem with various drinks. I made some out of peaches and have 3 or 4 barrels with 5 servings in each. I would also love to know of a way to get them to combine them.

So you guys have OTHER INGREDIENTS right that'd be the most basic step to verify

Try constructing large pots out of rock, ceramic or glass and see if they fill those up partially too. theyre a barrel substitute

That's how brewing works. It takes one stack of plant, and makes one stack of drink in one barrel. There is no combining of drinks. So a stack of one plump helmet will result in a barrel of 5 drinks, and a stack of five plump helmets will result in a barrel of 25 drinks.

Good to know the finer details of things, that sounds correct. I was thinking it was the same as prepared foods. What you say makes sense and sounds right.

so dwarves cant just take multiple single plumps at once or top off barrels with other barrels containing the same drink? damn thats annoying
