How to place a captured goblin cage to open with lever?

When I go in the build menu all I can find is building empty cages.

How do I place a a specific goblin cage somewhere to open with a lever?

Is there a menu I'm missing?

Naw dawg you there, build via furniture/constructions/restraints in that build part of the clicky bar at the bottom and click the little chevrons in the list to expand cages it should say *carambola wood goblin cage* or somesuch

And if you don't see the cage there, it might be locked/forbidden.

While the interface has lots of issues, I can't say I agree that this is one of them. Downward chevron is pretty universally understood as "you can click this to expand".

+1, this shows up everywhere, not just gaming. This very page I'm typing on has one such menu, even.
